WELCOME TO DOWN SYNDROME CHESHIRE

Our charity was founded in 2007 by a group of parents, who realised how important it is to connect with other people in order to share experiences. Our aim is to provide opportunities for parents, carers, siblings and extended family networks to have fun in a fully inclusive environment, where a child with Down syndrome is one of many, rather than one of a few.


We run regular support activities for people with Down syndrome and their family members.

Libby - Our Sponsored Superstar !

To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day 2025, DSC member Libby took on an inspiring challenge for Down Syndrome Cheshire of walking 2.1 km every day for 21 days in March to raise awareness and support. Walking isn’t exactly Libby’s favourite activity, so this was no easy task. But with her determination and positive attitude, she pushed through and has raised over £1.2K for DSC! We’re so proud of Libby’s efforts and the amazing impact she’s had - every step taken will help further support our fantastic Cheshire community. Happy Tenth Birthday, DS Football!

We're delighted to celebrate ten years of inclusion, empowerment, fun, and fitness with our amazing DS football team. The team, coaches, and families had a fantastic party at Lane 7 in Altrincham where they enjoyed fun & games, pizza, a prize giving, and an amazing football pitch birthday cake!

We are incredibly grateful, not to mention super proud, of our family members, Adele O'Reilly and Debora Moreton who both took part in this year's Chester 10k on March 9th to raise awareness and funds for Down Syndrome Cheshire. This was such an awesome achievement, and we're very grateful for Adele and Deborah's support and the generosity shown by their many Just Giving donors A huge well done, guys!!
