World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated every year on the 21st of March - a date chosen especially to remind us of trisomy 21 (that's having an additional third chromosome at the 21st pair) - unique to people who have Down syndrome.

This year, the official theme for World Down Syndrome Day is "Improve Our Support Systems"—a cause close to our hearts at Down Syndrome Cheshire. As a vital part of our community, we’re calling on you to get involved and help us to continue to support our members and their families.
