Our Regular Activities

Our 18+ members are invited to gain some employment and life skills at the DSC hub where activities include, cooking, facilities management, gardening and administration. we are also hosting a series of mini-seminars delivered under the title Learning for Life - Growing Up and Keeping Safe. These informal and interactive weekly sessions cover a wide range of topics centred around the personal development of our young adult members Our 18+ member Monday sessions take place every Monday from 10am - 3pm Email us here for more information.

🌟 Exciting News for our youngest members! 🌟 We’re thrilled to introduce our Stay & Play Sessions at the Down Syndrome Cheshire Hub in Northwich ! 🎉 🗓️ When: First Saturday of every month ⏰ Time: 10 AM - 1 PM 👶 Who: Our youngest members, aged 0-6 Come along for a fun-filled morning where little ones can explore, play, and make new friends while parents and carers connect in a supportive environment. 💕 We can’t wait to welcome you - click the image to visit our member activities calendar.

A friendly and regular monthly get-together for our members to build and maintain friendships; to chill out, hang out, and stay in touch. The sessions take place on the last Friday of the month 6:30pm - 8.30pm. If you would like more information or have further questions then please drop us an email.

Come and join us for some fun at our DS Cheshire Hub. Our Cheeky Monkeys sessions are for our youngest members aged up to 5 years and are a great way to meet other parents and seek advice from our Education Advocates. We provide a safe space for your member to play and there’s an opportunity to learn some Makaton during our singing and signing time. The group will meet at the DSC Hub once a month on a Friday from 10am to 11.30am. The sessions are usually every third Friday of the month, 10 am - 11:30 am. Join us at the regular DS Rugby sessions which take place fortnightly at the Sale Sharks training ground Carrington, Manchester M31 4AE from 11:30am - 12:30pm. Everybody is welcome! The sessions start back on Sunday 7th January. Please note these sessions are hosted externally by Sale Sharks and DSC are not responsible for their organisation and management. Minimum age 5 years

We're really proud to have an active Down syndrome football group, affiliated with the national DSActive sports programme. Our sessions generally follow the football season and take place inside the sports hall at Egerton Football Club, Knutsford, WA16 6SL, every Sunday from 10.00 am - 11.00 am. Players will take part in fun football sessions delivered by FA-qualified coaching staff, focusing on dribbling, passing and shooting whilst playing plenty of games. We invite you to come along and tell your friends! This activity doesn't require booking, is free of charge and aimed at players 5 years and over.

Join Savitri Jo Kirwin for a fun yoga class. We will get bendy and stretchy and try to stand on one leg, then have a nice lie down at the end to let our bodies recover! This is a fabulous activity which is ran in a small group and one that promises to be great fun. Please call or email us beforehand if you would like to take part. Jo will provide participants with a medical form and advice for getting the most out of these sessions. Sessions take place at our DS Cheshire hub in Northwich from 5:45pm – 6:30pm Minimum age is 5 years

Our term time DS Dance sessions regularly take place at three venues: DS Dance Winsford: Winsford Library (CW7 2AS) every Tuesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm DS Dance Warrington: The Pyramid Centre (WA1 1BL) every Wednesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm DS Dance Chester: Parade Enterprise Centre (CH1 5HW) every Thursday 5pm – 6pm All our dance sessions encourage fun, fitness and friendship. Minimum age is 5 years.

Our DS drama group is going from strength to strength. These are fantastic weekly classes that allows our participants to explore challenging life scenarios through the safe, fun and supportive drama framework, created and led by our qualified drama practitioner team. Every Thursday at Petty Pool Vocational College & Outdoor Centre Minimum age is 13 years
