WHAT WE DO

Our monthly Stay & Play and SALT Cheeky Monkeys sessions are aimed at children from birth to pre-school age and their parents/carers, grandparents and siblings. Our Family Support Team run the Stay & Play sessions getting parents/carers for a chat whilst their little ones play. Amanda, our speech and language therapist, delivers the SALT Cheeky Monkeys themed activities to support your child’s communications development. There is singing and signing so you can get familiar with Makaton. Both sessions provide an opportunity to get advice from our DSC staff members.

If you’re 18+ and fancy learning some life skills, develop friendships and having fun, then we’ve got you covered. We regularly meet up to make pizza, play tennis, learn bushcraft skills, speed dating, shop ’til we drop and speed dating…to name but a few! More details on our events page.

Our family support team organises weekly classes for fitness and fun including yoga, football, and rugby, in partnership with fully trained sports practitioners.

For more information see our regular events page or email us here

Our popular weekly dance and drama classes are an opportunity to learn a new skill and spend time with friends and are a fantastic boost to the confidence of our members. Participants have gone on to perform at the Kaleidoscope Festival. See our events calendar for times and venues.
