The launch of the #IChooseBoard

What an incredible day we had at Down Syndrome Cheshire we launched our #IChooseBoard. A board led by members with #Downsyndrome to ensure their voices are heard on a local and national stage. Learners from The Petty Pool Trust joined us to share their views.

We were also lucky enough to have guest speakers from the National Down Syndrome Policy Group; we had Fionn, Jonathan Angus, and Ed Daly as Chair and facilitator on the National Advisory Board. They spoke about their work with Parliament to shape the #DownSyndromeAct.

Western Party

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be kicking off our World Down Syndrome Day celebrations with a Western Party on: 📅 Friday 20th March 📍 Antrobus Village Hall ⏰ 7pm-11pm, arrival from 6.45pm This event will mark the start of a full weekend of celebrations, packed with activities and events for all ages, and for every family in our community. Say YEEHAW and hit the floor as we take on two 45 minute line dancing sessions with a line dance instructor, music and games! We’re looking forward to celebrating in true DSC style!
